Opearting Systems: Case Study 3

In a multiprogramming and time sharing environment, several users share a system simultaneously. In effect, security problems may arise in this kind of system. A good example are copying or cloning a user's files and by hacking the system. This phenomenon leads to the ineffectiveness and reliability of multiprogramming and time sharing environment. However, exploiting this security problems, let us have first the definition of the two terms used which we are referring this security problems. Multiprogramming is the allocation of a computer system and its resources to more than one concurrent or existing application, job or user. And for time sharing systems or environment is the sharing of a computing resources among many users by means of multiprogramming and multitasking. It was introduced in the 1960's time, and emergence as the prominent model of computing in the 1970's period time. Now, unfolding the first security problem occurred in multiprogramming and time sharin...

Opearating Systems: Case Study 2

Hand-held devices are pocket-sized computing devices, typically having a display screen with touch input and/or miniature keyboard. Hand-held devices have become constructed for use in mobile field management situations to record information in a certain kind of field. They are used to achieve a variety of tasks for increasing efficiency that includes digital notes, sending and receiving invoices, asset management, recording signatures, managing parts and scanning  bar codes . Hand-held computers used at work have  molded  overtime into a variety of form factors, including Smartphones on the low end, hand-held PDA's and Tablet PC's. This widespread existence of hand-held devices is used for many people, including a certain work or job like the doctors as medical practitioners and a supermarket manager. Songs of my Life

If destiny says so... I. As I lay dying on my bed Some thoughts of you runs through my head As darkness comes crawling on my veins Jealousy and insanity reigns I wanna walk away to see who will follow To stay with me until the end of tomorrow I wanna cry to see who will wipe away the tears To protect and defend me, and to draw away my fears Chorus: Seasons may pass Still I know my love will last For I've always been true In every action I do Promise me you'll stay I don't want you to go away But I'm willing to let you go If destiny says so.. II. I feel uncertain Thinking of what's gonna happen Worrying about the future The fear of losing you, I can't endure I can't help but cry I keep on wondering why Why do you have to leave me? It's hard to accept the reality

Operating Systems: Case 1

TYPES OF OPERATING SYSTEMS Batch system Batch processing is executing of a series of program ("jobs") on a computer without manual intervention. Batch jobs are set up so they can be run to completion with manual intervention, so all input data is reselected through scripts or command-line parameters. A program takes a set of data files as input, processes the data, and produces a set of output data files. This operating environment is termed as "batch processing" because the input data are collected into batches on files and are processed in batches by the program. An example operating system of it is the OS/360 . OS/360, officially known as IBM System/360 operating system, was a batch processing operating system developed by IBM for their new System/360 mainframes system, announced in 1964; it was heavily influenced by the earlier IBSYS/IBJOB and Input/Output Control System (IOCS) packages. It was among the earliest operating system to make direct access storag...

My First Post

And yeah~ This is my first post ever! Amazing! lol First and foremost, I just want to say thank you to our ever-dynamic Operating System teacher Mr. Mark Van Buladaco. He is the reason why I have this blog (but actually mayron na talaga akong blog noon pa) for our "electronic journal". Still kung hindi sa kanya, wala pa ring laman ang blog ko :) Secondly, I just want this blog to be the evidence of my simple triumphs and sweet downfall stories of my journey in this contemporary and unpredictable world. Para naman may about me naman sa blog ko! Hindi lang puro "electronic journal" at "electronic assignments". ROFL~ And finally, I can't deny it.. HAGU mag maintain ug blog but of course if your every much willing to update it every now and then, then that is okay but if not *hahaha* dawat-dawat.
