Meanwhile, Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” also falls in love with Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or they called him as Mr. Virus medical student daughter Pia Sahastrabudhhe. With this, Farhan Qureshi, Raju Rastogi, and Rancchoddas “Rancho” Shyamaldas Chanchad continue to anger Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe, although Rancchoddas “Rancho” Shyamaldas Chanchad continues to come first in every exam, while Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi are in such a manner as could not be otherwise in the last two positions.
Likely in the near future to become endangered by Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho”, Rancho’s talent and free spirit, Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or called as Mr. Virus designate with a labels him an “idiot” and attempts on a number of occasions to destroy his friendship with Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi, warning them and their parents to steer clear of Rancchoddas “Rancho” Shyamaldas Chanchad.
The experience has changed Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi, and they take up and practice Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as Rancho’s outlook. Pia Sahastrabudhhe hears him and angrily confronts him, and when Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe gives the same without mercy or pity reply he gives to his students, she denounces him in the same way that Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” did over the suicide of Lobo. Pia Sahastrabudhhe, daughter of Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or called as Mr. Virus reveals that Virus’ son and her brother was not killed in an accident but committed suicide in front of a train and left a letter because Mr. Virus, actually his father, had forced him to be involved in a career in engineering over his love for literature; Mr. Virus always mentioned that he unsympathetically failed his son on the Imperial College of Engineering entrance exams over and over to every new intake of Imperial College of Engineering students. After this, Pia Sahastrabudhhe walks out on the family home, and takes Virus’ spare keys with her. She tells Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” of the exam, and he and Farhan Qureshi break into Mr. Virus’ office and take without the consent the exam paper and give it to Raju Rastogi, who with his new-found attitude, is unconcerned with the prospect of failing, and refuses to cheat and throws the paper away. However, Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or called as Mr. Virus catches the trio and expels them on the spot. Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” comes first and is awarded Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or called as Mr. Virus’ pen, which the professor had been keeping for decades before finding a brilliant enough student to gift it to.
This movie not only questions our education system but also the motive of doing higher education. Now-a-days, students are pursuing Engineering or any other course as they want gives more importance to money than their real interests and strengths in life. It is time for our educators also to wake up, as some of them transform the most interesting subjects into painful experiences. Parents sometimes also ruin the childhood of their kids by trying to achieve their personal dreams through their children. To make them achieve things, they pressurize them which sometimes to leads to suicide.
So much for introducing the characters in the movie, let us now dig deeper the individualism of each character in the movie “3 Idiots”. Let us dwell character of Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho”.
Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” is the rebel among them always questioning things and believing that learning is more than just the usual mode of education. His perfection lies in the fact that he makes everything look so easy and spontaneous. He encourages his friends to look beyond the ordinary and soon earns the wrath of the college Professor Viru Sahasrabuddhe or nicknamed as Mr. Virus by the students. He meets pretty medical student Pia Sahasrabuddhe, daughter of the terror Professor Viru Sahasrabuddhe or nicknamed as Mr. Virus but unfortunately for Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho”, her father is Virus. But still Pia Sahasrabuddhe capitulates to Rancho’s charms and helps him and his friends during a crisis.
There are so many inspiring quotes and situations expressed in this movie that can enlighten the minds of struggling individuals especially for student liked me. It can also be a direction to the minds of the parents who only wants the best for their children but sometimes what they want and what they are doing is not already in accordance to the willingness and interest of their children.
“Make your passion your profession”. Passion is an intense emotion compelling feeling, enthusiasm, or desire for something. As we enter college, we have different purposes and reasons why we study and choose a field but we sometimes forget that we pursue a degree because this is what we want to do in the future.
“Never try to be successful, pursue excellence.” Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or called as Mr. Virus had a very being good marked by a favorable outcome by becoming the head of the most illustrious reputation institution in India and focused on maximizing his output every day (he writes with both hands and shaves while taking a 7 minute power nap after lunch). However, he cared very little about relationships both with his students or his family and consistently used fear to get his way with them. On the other hand, Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” focused on developing his factual information that a person knows through curiosity and used his engineering talent to help others in need. While the professor’s interactions cost lives, Rancho’s giving in common with others for a common purpose especially to a contribution to saved people from death and inspired them to new heights.
Like the situation of Farhan Qureshi, from the day he was born, his family has already plans for his future career and it is to be an engineer. His father worked hard and expect too much that his only son will be an engineer someday that is why Farhan Qureshi took up engineering at the Imperial College of Engineering. His father thinks that to be an engineer, it will give his son great success, glory and riches. Photography is what Farhan Qureshi really enjoys to do, where he is so compassionate to give his best shot in capturing imageries. However, it is very contradicting to his father’s will so he still follow what his father’s dream and sacrifice his own happiness even if he was suffering to death. There comes Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho”, who inspired him to be telling his father, what really makes him happy. Not money, not prestigious cars and houses, fame and high respect but a profession that will inspire him to achieve success and a passion that will lead him to excellence. At first, his father was very angry because Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” influenced his son, but Farhan Qureshi really tried to convince his father not in a drastic suicidal note but with love and so much respect to his father. In the end, his father realized everything so they have a happy ending.
When your hobby becomes your profession, the passion becomes your profession. Satisfaction, joy, pleasure and love will be the outcome of passion. Following your desire for years, you will surely become somebody one day.
“Life is a race; if you don’t run fast you’ll get trampled” quote from Mr. Virus. Most of the students are pressured not only because of the educational system. Pressure may come at times from our family and of course sometimes from our own. We always inject in our minds the negative thoughts of our pathetic situation that lead us to be a prisoner of our own freedom that is why Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” does not agree with the school director’s motto. We are always desperate in thinking about our future which will only drain us and take away from the good in each of us liked Raju Rastogi.
Raju Rastogi has his fear and he’s very distressed that he might not help his family’s situation. Instead of enjoying his opportunity of education, he tried different strategies like offering something to gods which led him to be always bothered and be always rank last. The road to success comes with a lot of speed bumps but we always have to stay positive and never stop. Life is what we make of it. We can achieve everything and climb the highest mountain if we simply remain positive even in the darkest moments.
“Don’t chase success, let success chase you”. If we always think about the future and go beyond success, it might corrupt the love in our minds and hearts in doing well in the present. It is always the mind-sets of many people that after taking up a degree, we are already successful. Do not go beyond success, because success might not come in the future. Never try to be successful, pursue excellence because excellence always creates success and it is a route of a continual progress. Don’t be afraid about our future. Just follow our heart and be happy for all we’re doing.
Of course, it is very apparent to the mind who will I choose between the three most important element and characters in the movie. No other that Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or under normal conditions called as “Rancho”, it is because of this reflections to the character presented at a later place. Like, never try to be successful, pursue excellence, fear of failure versus learning with passion, performance review versus mentoring for growth, freedom to life because life is so wonderful and beautiful, passion leads to excellence, life is very simple, learning is a management of emotions & no optimization of intelligence, love is time and space free, and mediocrity is penalized.

While the professor’s interactions cost lives, Rancho’s giving in common with others for a common purpose especially to a contribution to saved people from death and inspired them to new heights.
“Fear of failure versus learning with passion.” In the movie, a number of students entered the Imperial College of Engineering School because of the state of demanding notice or attention from family but against their own wishes. This caused them to have a subpar or worse than expected or usual performance and always fear failure during tests, causing some to commit the act of killing yourself. In contrast, Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” came to the institute by his own inclination to learn things about building machines, and his curiosity nor his talent helped him to top the final exams.
“Performance review versus mentoring for growth.” While the tests at the end of a semester are a good way to estimate or determine the nature, value, quality, ability, extent, or significance of a student’s knowledge of the subject, this movie puts forward the idea that this by itself should not be the end. Instead, the next step should be mentoring the student on what the gaps were and how he/she could do better.
“Freedom for life this is because life is wonderful and beautiful.” Don’t die before the actual death. Live every moment containing as much or as many as is possible or normal as if today is the last day. Life is gifted to humankind to live. Live happily towards happiness because life is so unpredictable whether at this height of everything, God will pull it out from you.
“Passion leads to excellence.” When your hobby becomes your body of people in a learned occupation, the passion becomes your profession. You will be able to lead up possessing good qualities in high degree in life. The contentment one feels when one has fulfilled a desire, need, or expectation, joy, pleasure and love will be the outcome of the passion. Following your passion for years, you will surely become somebody one day.
“Learning is very simple.” Be inferior in station or quality. Teachers and professors do fail, learners will never be failures. Learning is never complicated or difficult. Learning is always possible whatever rule you apply.
“Life is a management of emotions & no optimization of intelligence.” Memory and regular study have definite value and it always helps you in leading a life. You are able to continue to live through hardship or adversity even if you can make some mark in the path of the life. With artificial intelligence, you can survive & win but you cannot prove yourself genius. Therefore, in this process genius dies in you.
“Love is time and space free.” Have confidence or faith to those people who dare to care for you. Love is not time bound and space bound. It is very well demonstrated or verified beyond doubt in this movie same love was depicted by Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” and Pia Sahastrabudhhe. Love is border free, time free unconditional and space free.
“Mediocrity is penalized.” Middle class family or average talent or average institute is going to suffer and has to pay maximum price in the life if they do not upgrade their living standards. To be born poor or as an average person is not an act punishable by law but to die as an average person with middle class talent is deserving or inciting pity and if you are unable to modify to achieve maximum efficiency of your potentiality and die with unused potentiality then that is your shameful truth. One should not die as a mediocre. He or she has to bring out genius inside him or her and has to use his or her potentiality to the minutely precise especially in differences in meaningful level.
After watching the movie, it was interesting to note that a lot of these out of box thinking are basic generalization that is accepted as true and that can be used as a basis for reasoning or conduct have been came out to prove that the 3 Idiots really has something great to showcase to people.
And of course, how can I forget the attitude brings when they say “All is well!” Well, when perfect problems ever cross your way just say “All is well!” and everything will be fine.
Meanwhile, Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad or commonly called as “Rancho” also falls in love with Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe or they called him as Mr. Virus medical student daughter Pia Sahastrabudhhe.
